The Draed are known as “the hunters”. They dwell on the island of Soqwai, along with the Firotha and Krythe tribes. The Draed culture is focused on dominating and using nature, especially animals. They are expert hunters and hunt every beast on their island and beyond. They keep many animals as pets. They train some animals for warfare and guarding. They use animals for meat and milk. They use animal hides for clothing and to build their homes.
The Draed worship animals and their warriors paint themselves in the likeness of apes or lions or boars. Each warrior adopts a spirit animal and wears his painted persona at all times. In battle, Draed warriors fight with custom made claws, bite with chiseled teeth and will roar and paw at the ground. The Draed attack the Fiatha and the Krythe tribes regularly.
The Draed live in large huts fashioned from animal skins stretched taut over stick built frames. Draed villages are led by their strongest male hunter. It is said their shamans can communicate with animals, control beasts and the elder shamans can even take the shape of an animal themselves.
